Annual Winter Group Show

Canadian artist; born July 10, 1957, Longueuil, QC

Huguette St-Germain resides in a borough of Montreal, named L’Ile-Bizard. She attended Collège du Vieux-Montréal, in Applied Arts, Interior Design. Drawing has always been a major part of her life. Moreover, it is while she was at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal that she has realized her firsts experiences with a brand new medium for her: oil paint, and she has never quit. But, for many years, other imperatives have put her artistic development on standby.

All her artwork is done with oil paint and mixed techniques. She strongly prefers working without the limits imposed by only one technique; consequently, this exploration made on a continuing basis can be seen on her work. Also, she likes developing textures to reflect her sensibility. Music, and more particularly blues and jazz, and the magic of words through the poesy are her muses through the emotions it inspires.

St-Germain's work is presently exhibited in several galleries in Quebec and Ontario.
